IWA and NIUA sign Memorandum of Understanding

The International Water Association (IWA) and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) based in Delhi, India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 13 September 2022 during the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Copenhagen to promote a strategic and cooperative relationship between the two organisations.

The MoU establishes that both parties share areas of synergy, especially on urban water management and inclusive sanitation.

The shared goal will be to promote positive change through research, education, innovation, knowledge development and capacity building, ensuring a two-way exchange of knowledge and best practices through North-South and South-South collaboration.

This includes effective collaboration in reshaping the global agenda on Inclusive Urban Sanitation – involving working on innovative solutions and service-oriented areas that contribute to the progression of water and sanitation management, particularly in South Asian countries.
